After a strong cup of coffee we all settle down to some more crochet.

17 March 2011 - Rowan Heaven - DAY ONE

Just got back from a fantastic weekend at Rowan headquarters at Holmfirth.  Myself and three friends attended Jane Crowfoot's Crochet Club Workshop.  It was a truly inspirational couple of days being surrounded by loveliness, not only the yarns and fabrics in the Mill workshop but the countryside surrounding the mill was absolutely stunning.  It was so wonderful to spend the weekend doing something I love with no interruptions, learning new techniques and making new friends.  Here are just a few of the photos of our stay.

1 March 2011 - Out & About

We have been out and about quite a bit this past month, here are a few of the places we have been.


UNRAVEL
"A two day FESTIVAL OF KNITTING celebrating all things woollen" held on 26th & 27th February at Farnham in Surrey.  



All those Hells Angels will be after this mean machine!


Could not resist taking a photo of this knitted tree and hanging basket in the entrance foyer.


This display of over 300 bees took over 3 hours to set up and received a lot of attention.




There were so many things to see and do we could have spent the whole day there.  
The Craft Hobby & Stitch International Trade Show
 
We visited a trade show in Birmingham and saw lots of lovely things.  




These wonderful displays by The Button Company were really inspirational.



There were a few yarn related exhibitors and some new yarns which were certainly worth seeing.
